SWOP MN
The Sex Workers Outreach Project Minneapolis is committed to decriminalizing and destigmatizing Sex Work in Minneapolis and Minnesota. SWOP is a chapter of the largest national grassroots social justice network dedicated to the fundamental human rights of Sex Workers and their communities, focusing on ending violence and stigma through education, community building, and advocacy. Our campaigns to Decriminalize Sex Work, promote the labor organizing of Strippers, and provide harm reduction and wellness supplies and direct services to our community prioritize the input and needs of our most vulnerable community members, particularly Black and Trans Sex Workers surviving in the street economy. Sex Workers are predominantly women, gender non-conforming individuals, and sexual minorities from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. Therefore, we utilize a margin-centered approach to organizing that values joy and liberation. We host an annual march in celebration of International Whore’s Day that all are welcome to join. Please follow us on Instagram and Twitter @SWOPmpls for updates and support our important work on swopmpls.com by making a donation and staying informed.
